Âé¶¹¸£ÀûÍø is seeking an External Affairs Lead, Rare Diseases, to play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing the reputation of the organization within the UK and Ireland. This position focuses on developing and executing proactive communication and external engagement strategies targeted at diverse stakeholders, including patient advocacy organizations, media, trade associations, and healthcare bodies. The role involves close collaboration with global, regional, and local teams to ensure alignment and share best practices across the function.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement external engagement strategies to build the company's profile in the UK and Ireland.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align communication efforts across global, regional, and local levels.
  • Engage with key stakeholders such as patient advocacy groups, media, trade associations, and healthcare organizations to influence public discussions on medicines management and market access.
  • Support the business by fostering relationships with external groups that impact the healthcare environment.
  • Work closely with the external affairs team across the EU to share insights and ensure consistency in messaging.
  • Act as a key point of contact for external communications and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
  • Lead projects independently while maintaining strong collaboration and networking across the organization.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Proven experience in external affairs, communications, or stakeholder engagement within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Strong understanding of the UK healthcare environment, including market access and medicines management.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across global, regional, and local teams while also leading initiatives independently.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities to develop impactful engagement strategies.
  • Familiarity with patient advocacy organizations, trade associations, and healthcare systems is highly desirable.
