Âé¶¹¸£ÀûÍø is recruiting for a Nurse Manager to lead a clinical research team within one of the largest and most active research departments at a premier Midwest academic health system.
Primary Responsibilities:
Based at a cancer institute in downtown Detroit, the role is roughly 80% operations and 20% strategy. You're not at the bedside, but running the day-to-day of a research nursing team, keeping studies compliant, supporting principal investigators, and ensuring everything runs smoothly across a high-volume research environment.
Skills & Requirements:
- RN license in Michigan (required)
- BSN required; MSN or MBA preferred
- 5+ years of clinical nursing experience
- 2+ years leading a project or team
- Clinical research or oncology experience
- Current BLS certification
The Research Nurse Manager's responsibilities will be:
- Managing daily operations - staffing, scheduling, business functions
- Overseeing regulatory compliance (Joint Commission, OSHA, FDA, study sponsors)
- Supporting and coordinating with principal investigators on active clinical trials
- Personnel functions - hiring, performance reviews, professional development
- Leading process improvement initiatives
- Managing adverse event reporting and supporting audits
